Gloria Menegaz obtained a MSc. in Electronical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano in 1993 and a MSc. in Information Technology at the Center for Research and Education in Information Technology (CEFRIEL)-Politecnico di Milano in 1994.
She joined the Signal Processing Institute in 1996 as a research assistant and PhD student where she graduated as Docteur es Science Techniques in July 2000.
From May to October 2000 she was with the Biomedical Imaging Group (BIG), headed by Prof. Michael Unser, as post-doctoral fellow.
From 10/2000 to 10/2002 she was First Research Assistant at the Audiovisual Communications Lab. (LCAV) of EPFL, leaded by Prof. Martin Vetterli.
From 12/2002 to 03/2004 she was Assistant Prof. (Maitre Assistante) at the Computer Science Dept. of the University of Fribourg.
In March 2004 she had a grant for a professorship funded by the Brain-Drain initiative of the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR) to join the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Siena (Italy).
